Fully understood Bobby. There are a lot of these rods sitting in this County, Norfolk, as 'sleepers' in collections for nostalgic and historical reasons -more to do with Dennis Pye than any intended use. Whilst this does create a bit of a shortage there is always the option still of getting Chapmans to either provide you with a blank or a completed rod. That said from a personal perspective I would choose the MkIV S/U over the 700 for the same money...some would disagree I'm sure but I fish both and that is my conclusion.Bobby Marlene wrote:I´d need a fitting rod first...

Thanks Aquarial. I was thinking of ordering a blank but it has to wait. I hope they keep on making them for a few years. I did not see a MKIV SU coming up for quite some time. I believe prices are going up also. Best, Bobby
