Took a 25min trip to my club water yesterday at Harpenden, took my no name split cane rod and Abu 505 caught amongst the chub this lovely 1.5LB Roach, also lost a nice Barbel, shouldent have taken the 505, could not get the clutch to work when the fish was on, so the hook pulled, hope the fish is ok.
Weather was terrible.

Take no notice of the Cable ties, they are to hold my Sidewinder indicator.

Hi Old Nell, It was at LB, water levels have dropped nicely, still pushing through quite hard, not a lot of Slack places, but people are catching mate, i think as far as Rivers go, the Lea at LB is hard to beat.

Your'e right there Jim . Must admit to it being my favorite venue. Great barbel sport, but some cracking roach if you find them, and terrible, tackle busting river carp, which to be honest I try to avoid.Anyways, well done cos you found the roach .
