it's amazing what you find during a tidy up...

The Cliff Parker books (published in the 70's) are a humourous look at the club fishing scene with a cast of characters that can be found in any club in the country... well worth a read if you can find them...

I remember Cliff Parker describing the then common angler's complaint of 'basket bum'. It was something I could empathise with at the time, and the main reason I no longer use whicker baskets despite their aesthetic charms
