Possible Floatcraft

Post by Ljm183 »

This i believe to be an early Floatcraft ,the rod has no makers badge on the cane (but there are signs of one being there at one time ) has the Milward name on the butt cap.

It,s 12ft in length

with a 21in handle,

whole cane butt, whole cane mid with 10in spliced split cane and split cane tip section.

Need,s a set of ring,s and a ferrule glued.

All point,s to a Floatcraft.

What do other,s think, Floatcraft ?

Thank,s. :Thumb:

Look,s like the previous owner changed the whipping to green when he fitted an extra ring to the butt section.

It,s going back to original with maroon whipping and the correct ring placement

Before above.

After (one coat of varnish).

13oz in total. Not bad for a 12ft rod, feel,s light in the hand.
Around 3/4lb - 1lb tc. Full through action.
