Just missed out on this reel on Ebay!!!! Went for around £15 with postage, was that a good price? Anyone know much about these??

They are OK. I had the higher-spec Europa once (the same reel as Yates caught his first twenty pounder on) and it was surprisingly smooth and well-built - far better than the Intrepid Elite, though not in the same class as the Ambidex, Mitchell or Altex. I don't know who made these early Shakespeare reels, but they were also sold under the Galion and Winfield brands.
