A stretch not too far from me, I keep meaning to check out the fishing there but never get round to it I really must make more of an effort.

I'm not sure about now SK but back in the 80s there was some awesome chub fishing there.

I heard the same mate, perhaps I'll look into who owns the fishing rights and see if I can't have a dabble. I might prepare things for next winter. :wink:

One stretch is controlled by Ringwood

Day tickets available. Probably from the Ringwood tackle shop, similar to Severals and Lifelands, might be worth a trip out. My only visit to Lifelands yielded four 4lb chub

Fished Lifelands once years ago, my first ever visit to a river, completely threw me, didn't have a clue what I was doing (not much change there then!!). Would really like to go back for another bash. I think this could be on the list for the not too distant future. I'll put up a post in the apropriate section.
