It was part of Christchurch's club water, Upper Burgate, which was divided into 3 sections and each sold for an exorbitant price! Was an exceptional roach water with the the section upstream being a Syndicate, the late Gerry Swanson I believe.
Obviously the new owner - purchased in 2012 has not got his monies worth back.
The opposite bank and slightly upstream is still CAC and called Fold's Farm.

FYI:- Lot 1 was for sale in 2012 for £125K : Lot 2 £165K: and Lot 3 £125k.
Lot 1 was then for 470m and ran from the same upstream limit to the house, now it is 1/2 that length - and more money!!

I am afraid I wouldn't know - but it looks like part or downstream of Lot 3 on the plan.

Not always - over 100 salmon made their way up the Avon! Thing is - it is entirely no kill so cheaper to go to Tesco/Aldi/Waitrose --- even M & S!!

There are several sections of the Avon available to rent/buy -- but at a cost. Was offered a stretch of the Avon, equal to all 3 lots as shown in the plan above including a weir pool, at a rent of £5000 per annum 3 years ago. I had offered £3K which was declined.

Look at the prices of gravel pits & rivers when CEMEX sold their portfolio. £100000 to £500000.

I think that the plan used by the Agents is an amended one from 2012!

Lot 1 is the only one mentioned as "For Sale" by the Agents. I suggest anyone can contact them for more precise details.

What money?
Join Somerley at £650 for all their waters or £1000 for the river at Longford, 25 trout in a day, where I hooked one monster of 25+ in 5 years. And lost it!!
At Somerley there were multiple captures on many days in the 2015 season to fly, spinner and prawn. A total of over 75 were caught. View Paul Greenacre's YouTube exploits to see what you have missed. All the Somerley fish went through Winkton Weirs - a CAC water.

CAC is pretty cheap!!! My angling colleague is a Life Member.

All changed last year - it has been quoted as the best season for 30+ years!

Let's hope is can remain like that - but I doubt it.
