Monster gudgeon.

Post by MaggotDrowner »

Believe it or not I caught this monster on a size 6 hook loaded up with as many castors as I could fit onto it. My iPod is 11cm so I guess the fish is about 13-14cm long. It was really fat and had a massive belly. As daft as it sounds it was worth the 4 mile walk to the little pit just for this little fish. My carp mad friend would have me sent away with the guys in the white coats if he heard me say that. :Scared:

There is a video on youtube of Yates halfheartedly trying to catch the record gudgeon while chatting to some bloke.
"I'd rather be fishing!"

Great gudgeon, well worth a long walk I'd say.

A fine catch, Sir.
