Gonks

Post by Moley »

Having given Matron :Scared: the slip, the Mole, for it is he, made to a nearby lake for a short(ish) session with the Ancient Mariner aka The Leg-End.

Pies were scoffed in the car whilst waiting for The Old Gimp to turn up. Like a kid on a day trip with sandwiches eaten within the first few seconds of parental release, Fatty was wishing for more......luckily a packet of choccy digestives were in the bag or more truthfully, out the bag and consumed with copious slurping tea. By the time the Leg-End turned up there were only two biccies left. Feeling guilty, well only a bit, these were donated to the old of the parish :Hahaha:

Tackle today would be a nice MKIV Avon, 6lb maxima, small waggler and Sportex 55. Here are some of the results from the Norwegian Jury:

a dozen splendid Gonks liked the pellet, contrary to the written word of the experts, who frequently espouse the FACT that Gonks don't like pellet.

Just as well Gudgeon are not known for their reading skills then :Hat:

A giant in the World of Lillput also showed up, putting the old rod through its paces:

Several other carp decided to gate crash the Gonkfest too along with a nice dreamy Breamy:

The Leg-End also caught some roach so was very happy and very nearly bought a pint in the pub afterwards, until he realised he had left his wallet at home.......a classic excuse

Anyway, despite being duped by the wily old rascal, a good day was had by all.....exit stage left, pursued by a Ginger Harridan!!!

As ever,......

Thanks once again for the kind words, as they make writing the drivel that is the Mole life worthwhile :Hat:

Now that Fatty has realised the voracious predator, the Gonk is feeding again it is time to break out the mighty Hardly Perfection Minnow to slay such fearsome adversaries:

The Gonks, mighty foes though they be, stand little chance against a Mole armed with such holy tackle, pies and slurping tea......let battle commence, unleash the dogs of war :tea:

Great songs and legendary tales of derring do will be written about such heroic deeds.......oh yes!

As ever,.......
