float box
what to do with old slide projector boxes
lolly stick , and some felt ,
l pick up lots of these to use as tackle boxes , tool ,old watches ,etc
l saw an add on flea bay for a float box that was selling for £200 plus
thought ,time l had a bash ,
lolly sticks stuck in the groves ,then trimmed down
hardest thing was cutting a grove in the box ,so the felt would fit flush
did all that , and worked out well
but looked a bit bare
drew a perch on the front , not liking that , carved it out , still looked very plain , PAINT IT
this is the result
needs a bit more varnish ,
think the next one will have a Tench ,or Roach

Re: float box
the felt on the bottom is wrapped round a bit of thin ply
then l marked out where l wanted the floats to go, [on the back]
stuck a braddle through the lot ,then with elastic, sewn straws on to it this will give you an idea
you can pull as hard as you like on the straws
once that's done
l glued a bit of felt over the lot , using contact adhesive

Well done very nice indeed
