Alder rod rest - tripod

Simple as you like - stripped Alder - 3 pieces - opens and folds as quick as you like and fits in my creel or shoulder bag. 3 legs are held together by garden twine.

Sweet. Simple is good. I also like the idea of a forked stick too.

Rustic and natural. Perfect.
If you have no grease with you, and your rings are full of ice, do not cut out the ice with a pen-knife but get your man to put the rings one by one in his mouth, and so to thaw the ice.

Simple and ingenious. From nature and looks good too.
