Very nice, Richard.

It's much classier than my standard indicator, which is based on the one in Peter Stone's Gravel Pit Angling book.

I bodged together a pair of hangars from 2 film cannisters , and 2 plastic clothes pegs, they actually work pretty well, and if there is a bit of "tow" on the water or the wind is a problem, you can always put a few bits of lead shot or similar into the cannister to stablize them a fraction.
Not particularly "traditional" but they work well enough, and are a lot lighter than appearances would suggest.I suppose you could always replace the coloured pegs with a more traditionel wooden clip peg, and one of the older round cannisters, and do away with the sticky back plastic.

The cannisters have been wrapped with a bit of C....n effect tape , Iand have a reflective strip as well.I hope this doesnt offend .

PS, they replaced two bits of sycamore twigs that just hooked over the line, I was boiling up my Bessemers Converter or Kelly Kettle if you prefer, and ran out of fuel. :Thumb:

Great idea and well made! Now don't let the bite indication tease you into striking too early!

Today I have managed to get my wife to borrow permanently some hair grips from the Mother in law, I am going to attempt to make a pair of "traditional" swingers, if there is such a thing ,from something or other kicking around in the man cave , as already said , something a bit different to the old fairy liquid caps.
