No idea what cow paste is, but I made some bread paste following Bumble's recipe HERE Making it was a sticky old business (Mrs GP had a good laugh at the mess my hands were in  ), but I caught plenty of fish on it, including the only crucian I managed from a local pool last year.

<edit> Forgot to say, once made it's not sticky, it freezes well, and can be refrozen without any problem. Indeed, I might well make up some more in the close season, ready for action over the summer.

Bumble's recipe uses one superb ingredient - condensed milk!

I fished one water containing crucians and the the bait that picked them out was cheese.

This was the very soft cheese that comes wrapped in individual segments such as "Dairylea".

One brand is sold as "The Laughing Cow". Could this be classed as Cow Paste?

COW paste is made from Coriander, Oatmeal and White wine.....one of Yatesy's concoctions....he caught on it, and I think I caught on it too, but it has since evolved and now includes ingredients that are not so easy to use in a mnemonic...

I do rate paste baits for crucians. I make one that is cat food based - they seem to like it. Sometimes.
