After catching some nice Tench last weekend with Prawns(while Perch fishing) I thought it would be rude not to try for more. So here are the results, please excuse the poor photos I'm pretty sure that 3 photo is a repeat capture from the last session and also a obligatory Carp

Some lovely Tincas there Harry!
I must admit I don't often venture to the bank without a few prawns in my bait box these days!

I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.

Great to see several tench caught in a session
There are so few places you can fish and expect to catch more than one or possibly two tench these days.

Well done Harry, Tench are my favorite species this time of year.
The brotherhood of the angle.

Nice catch! Very jealous as there are not very many places to catch Tench in Cornwall

Thanks for your comments, I'm sure there was another in the offering but it snapped my line just had the tell tail sign of slime on the line. Also need use some stronger line as there were two more losses which I'm sure were Carp and don't like the idea of them being left with a hook left in them all be it barbless.
What breaking strain do you chaps use?

Great Tench. I have just joined SCAC and hope to do some Tench fishing on Gillmans lake. Difficult, but there does not seem to be the Tench fishing there was once.
