Enjoyable day

Post by Ian »

Had a good day roach fishing today.the water was Baltic but the bites were fast and furious and ended with a total of 27 roach caught.i had to fish deep and only used brown crumb with hemp through it and a single maggot on the hook.the crumb was more like soup and I had to pour it into a blockend feeder.a good way to fish in winter as the crumb stays in till on bottom and because it's already water logged it stays there.one short pull of the feeder and it's out

Roach are such splendid fish......to catch 27 in a day is a good effort indeed :Hat:

They always make me extremely happy when I catch them :Thumb:

As ever,......

Wasn't expecting the sport to be anywhere near as good and I've noticed the fish have took refuge in the really deep areas of the pond now.up till now they had been in 12ft of water.looks like they are feeling the cold now.
