I agree with all the positive comments - it was a Christmas present from my brother in 2011 - and I could not put it down.

I have had this for over a year but haven't read it yet. I currently have about eight angling books waiting to be read - I must read more or faster :Confused:

I've had this for a while and agree with everything said so far. My copy sits in the lavatory library next to John Bailey's Fishing Detective and a few choice back-copies of Improve Your Coarse Fishing. It's also excellent for taking on camping or fishing trips. The majority of stories will appeal to the traditional angler as they date back to the 1700s I believe.

I recently bought a copy from a charity shop . Very interesting and varied stories in easily manageable chunks .
Thought I would highlight this old thread .
