Fly Culture magazine

Post by Nigel Rainton »

I'm very proud to have contributed to Fly Culture magazine's Spring issue.

I have long advocated for an upmarket, high quality magazine that does not contain reworked articles from several decades ago. It has no adverts, no advertorial or product placement. It is 100 pages of well designed and printed reading. Best read in a comfy chair with a single malt.

Shameless plug for the magazine I know but I think it deserves support.

Congratulations, Nigel, on contributing to this magazine!

It looks very interesting. Unfortunately they charge 5£ for postage to Germany. More than half the price of one issue.

Nigel, thanks for posting and congratulations on your contribution. That looks very interesting. I think I´ll order a copy to have a look before going for a annual subscription. Best, Bobby

Yes, I´ve seen that, too. It the same for annual subscription which costs 20 GBP to Belgium. 5 pints, good for loosing some weight...

Bobby and Duebel,

£5 postage for one issue to addresses in the EU is a lot. I think because of it's size (large letter) and weight (120gsm paper), the Post office charge is high :-(

Is the Fly Culture Magazine available in bookstores?
I'll be in Scotland and Northern England in August ...

Duebel,

No, but you could order an issue to be sent to your UK address while on holiday :-)

Or 2 and on your way back home you‘ll pass by Antwerp for a proper Trappist beer...

I wonder ……. a black market in Fly Culture magazines …..

This will be a cult magazine and the early editions much sought after. I'm not going to repeat the mistake of throwing away my collection of Waterlog.

It's blowing a gale here and threatening heavy rain, first trip of the new season cancelled :Hair out:

A very good idea indeed! The problem is, we'll take the ferry from Amsterdam to Newcastle this year.
I could of course buy two magazines and you come and see me in Bamberg for a proper Rauchbier ...

I will have to think about buying the first three issues...

No fly fishing for us around here either - heavy rain, cappuccino coloured water and trout still recovering from spwaning. I'll give it a couple of weeks before I start the fly fishing season.
