I wonder what fictional books there are about fishing. The boys book: fishing forever by David Churchill is one of my favourite books of all time. Captures the innocence and wonder of childhood and tells the story of two school friends and their coarse fishing adventures. Absolutely magical and was endorsed by Mr Yates.
Does anyone know of other fictional fishing books? I remember reading an ancient book as a child about two boys going fly fishing with their grandad with greenheart rods and gut casts

Have a read of "Pastoral" by Neville Shute... a story of a WW2 bomber crew who's friendship is bound by fishing.
A good read

Just one more cast love, and I'll be on me way home

Jonah’s Dream by Sven Berlin is a lovely book about a boy’s quest for an illusive giant pike.
Fly Fishing by JR Hartley is also a personal favourite of mine.

One of the first fishing books I ever read was The Whopper by BB.
