I enjoyed the book, mainly because we visit many of the places he writes about quite regularly.

The Autumn road to the Isles, is another of "BB"s traveling books. :tea:
Not a fish was visible that first time I visited Beechmere; an utter
stillness brooded over the place and I felt the strange and sinister atmosphere which, so the story goes,
has been the cause of several suicides.’

Of the two books I prefer The Autumn Road to the Isles. I have read it several times and often wondered if the trip could be repeated. I concluded that it could not, best not to try.

I found myself in Coch y Bonddu book shop last week and grabbed a copy of this book. It's wonderfully poetic and the drawings are typical BB - beautiful. I'm really enjoying it. Thanks for the heads-up Firebird :Hat:
