The cover of this lovely old magazine caught my eye. Entitled "The DALESMAN" Oct. 1964 and incorporating The Yorkshire Dalesman and Northern Review. Editor: Harry J. Scott. Published on the 1st of the month. Annual Subscription. Home and Overseas 17s 6d (including postage). In 1964 its net sale exceeded 55,000 copies a month with its readership five times that number! Address: The Dalesman Publishing Co., Ltd. Clapham via Lancaster. Phone Clapham 225. "A monthly magazine of Yorkshire and its people."

The good angler is not the one with expensive equipment. Common sense, observation and trying to realize
what is happening above and below water will catch fish no matter what price equipment you fish with.

Full of building society managers and Deputy head Masters who think they can write "Dialect Poetry". As a Yorkshireman, I have always found the organ truly execrable!John Aston wrote: ↑Sun Jun 25, 2017 8:29 am It is a bloody terrible magazine though .....
