Thanks for posting the youtube links, I've just watched them. I was in the Central TV region when this was shown and remember watching it at the time. If I remember correctly, the actor who played Brian had previously been a regular in Crossroads - we had quality telly back then. :Chuckle:

At the time I was also fishing in a similar small local club full of them same sort of characters from the TV series... not sure which one I was though. :Scared:

Regional TV ...a world without mobile phones and no internet .. So different . The adverts( yes I watched them! ) seemed so familiar .

This takes me back. I had completely forgotton about this series. I believe it was on the telly, somewhere between 1984 and 1986. I quite enjoyed it.

I remember this being shown on TV .. Was it a group of anglers portrayed comically .. Fishing on the cut in the west mids !

Back then it was fishing on the telly ITV It was always worth watching
