If anyone is interested, one of my dads fishing baskets, with the above title is for sale on that site. £30 - looks in good condition, odd bit of damage but otherwise OK - 1960's vintage I would say. You want find better for tightness of weave.

Looking more closely, it might appear - last photograph, that looking at the left side of lid, about 1" in, the willow strengthening stick may have been sawn.- perhaps repairable with a dowel down the centre

Yes - see there is a more detailed photo - if it hadn't got that damage - I'd buy it for my sister - but perfect order I suppose it would be £50+ . I have no interest/connection with seller.
