The Stephens holdall you have just bought was owned by so many in the club I fished for in the early 1970's. The reason being that so many lost rod rings when the softer holdalls were passed out of the coach window. I remember mine very well, that one looks a gem, well done.
If you have no grease with you, and your rings are full of ice, do not cut out the ice with a pen-knife but get your man to put the rings one by one in his mouth, and so to thaw the ice.

I too had one of those cylindrical Stephens holdalls, paired with the aluminium framed / PVC covered seatbox.
The lightest seatbox I've ever had.

Excellent car booting!

Reading this post made me look at the base of my Brown plastic holdall that I used when camping this weekend just gone, it also has STEPHENS BHAM LTD, impressed into the hard plastic base. Mine came from a Boot sale but cannot remember how much... it wouldn't have been much I'm sure
