I have seen many of these boxes/seats around the fairs over the years, but one with a back rest is new to me. What brilliant idea and a wonder you do not see more of them..unless, because they are so good, everyone is holding on to them.

Perhaps you had the Sherpa 1 SS?
I was pleasantly surprised at how light this was when empty. Tons of room and big pockets mean its unlikely to stay that way unless considerable restraint is used.
I also discovered that the front legs are adjustable. A simple but fragile release button......

Easily fixed/replaced thank goodness.

Mine looked great in the shop, the biggest seat Efgeeco made at that time. Nice big pockets. I think my parents bought it for me as a birthday present. I filled it with every bit of tackle I owned; bait, groundbait flask etc. I struggled to get it on my shoulder. I always fished near the car park. The frame was bent steel tubing. Everything I needed while fishing was under the seat. The mechanism for stretching the seat on the frame was like the shop till in 'open all hours', it bit my fingers every trip. I sold it.

Well I gave the Sherpa an outting at the cane and pin match.
Considering the jungle warfare involved in getting to the bank I was pleasantly surprised by this.
The only issue was the amount of room inside. Tackle boxes, 4 centrepins, baits, flask, towel, unhooking mat, plus a a spare landing net were gobbled up easily.
I tried to use restraint! I honestly did, but you know how it is :Brickwall:

Overall I'm happy. Restraint will be much easier when I return to familiar waters and know what I actually need.
