Bait box looks like aqua blue to me. Given that the insides and underneath are the same, even colour I'd say it had always been like that.

(and the dress is gold and white....)

I have a Pegley Davis box the same colour as your Efgeeco, when you put it alongside a normal green Efgeeco box it does look an aqua blue colour.

Just had a look at some of mine most are green ,and a few are a lighter green colour ..

The Efgeeco, East Anglian Rod Co, and Marco bait boxes are all made by " Pioneer Plastic Company " Feltham.

The Pegley Davies box has no makers name.

I've had a few of these before and to be onest they were in green and blue, the box in question is definitely blue, if it was faded with age it would be more patchy but the colour of this box is even.
it has no patches, blotches or any fading :Thumb:

This pic easily distinguishes the two different colours

I do fully understand and agree with you on that note :Hat:

Imagine a far river bank that has a high bank and plenty of foliage and with a very dull heavy overcast sky or at dusk, a lot of people couldn't possibly see an orange tip float, the colour just sought of disappears, however if a bright yellow tip is used it can often be clearly seen, same as fishing a big expanse of water with a stone breeze on the water and sunlight, quite often a tip blacked out with a marker pen stands out :Thumb:

Yep yer eyes are everything and certainly need to be looked after, short sighted, long sighted, colour blindness, without em we simply couldn't fish :holmes:
