I love that series, I used to have them all recorded on my Sky box, the link you posted is my favourite episode too, The rivers of the east of England, I love the Fens, Norfolk & Suffolk.
Peter Carter, the last eel catcher, a sign of our changing times!

I remember watching it and thinking he was a bit of an idiot and very condescending to the angling fraternity when he mentioned anything to do with fishing, and if he had his way all river stretches would be opened up to the canoes whether private or not. I cannot remember exactly what he said, but I do remember tasting bile when he spoke. Sorry, not for me as a presenter although I did enjoy Three Men in a Boat, which featured my narrowboat and a place where I oft spend my summers. But at least the scenery was pleasant! Perhaps I've confused this DVD with another program about rivers he did; but I don't think so!
