I would very much like to buy his second book sometime - 'How to fish the upper great ouse' - as it is the the part of the ouse that is local to me ( between Milton Keynes and Buckingham) and includes Walkers stretch, and lots about his fishing time on it with Walker and others.

However copies are very expensive - unless I bid on Ebay ( which I have never used - so far) and then I might get a decent copy at a reasonable price.

Here is a favourite picture of Fred's. He is with Sullivan, the subject of of the chapter entitled "Sullivan" in his book, "Travellin' Man"

Some excellent photos of one of the angling greats who is sadly not one of the names that is mentioned often when many anglers talk about the past famous anglers.
