Tenkara nets

Post by Kevin »

I have been learning about Tenkara fishing mainly from youtube, ive not got a rod yet but I like this traditional style for my local
river where the fish are small and back casting can be a nightmare..I love the simplicity of Tenkara.I found this film on a netmaker that i wanted to share for they are beautiful handmade nets..hope you like them.

Great video, thanks for sharing it with us. A bit of an eye opener, great technique, looks so simple, I might have a go at a modified version myself... :Hat:

I have looked at Japanese rods - bamboo - together with their rods rests and fly boxes. Expensive but also exquisitely made! It seems to take our love of bamboo/cane a step farther. Nurturing bamboo for several years before being cut to make anything!
