Bartleets Sidecaster.

I picked this up recently because I have never seen one of these that wasn’t made by Malloch.
It has a 4 inch wooden drum with a drag on the front.
The back plate is 4 1/2 inches and has “ Made in England” stamped on it.
It has Bartleets stamped on the foot.
It is fitted with a check.
The line guard is huge.

Has anyone got any ideas as to who made the reel and give me a date.

Made in England is normally associated with Milwards and they were in partnership with Bartlets I think for a while.

It looks so well engineered and a lovely finish you must give it an outing to see how it performs.
