I wonder how many really good reels are out there that never caught on or were not really available big time to us in the UK.

So very true, Reedling. I have another Swiss reel called the Monti Super which dates from the 1950s and is a serious piece of fishing reel engineering yet the reel and the maker are virtually unknown here in the UK.

Thanks a lot for the response. Maybe it was more easy for swiss reelmakers to step in the US market as to England. There are comming up from time to time used swiss reels for sale.
