My Super Twin sounds like a football rattle with the anti reverse on, good old Intrepid.

Cannot complain for £1.50 for a new in box reel! Will be used when I'm after the smaller species, with the anti-reverse off!

That rather loud anti reverse is perfectly normal for the old Black Prince. That and the bail arm that seemed to be made of plastic where line is concerned meant I opted for a Shakespeare as my first reel. I remember seeing the groove cut into the bail arm of a lot of my mates reels..... So be careful.
