What is the missing word?
What is the missing word?
Hi,
This nice Elite arrived today and it still has a label on the rotor.
One word has been lost - can you tell me what it was?
Frogmore.

Chance is always powerful. Let your hook be always cast; in the pool where you least expect it, there will be a fish

Re: What is the missing word?
I'm sooo jealous !!! Mine hasn't got that sticker !!!
Out of interest, the original card with the reel states "Acclaimed as 'the most advanced reel in the world'." They were selling at £3 18sh 6d (that's £3.82 1/2p in today's toy money). Spool capacity is 150 yds. of 11lb B.S. nylon.
The schematic in the box describes the roller as simply "Bale arm roller", and I think that the previous suggestion of 'line' would probably be correct.

"Beside the water I discovered (or maybe rediscovered) the quiet. The sort of quiet that allows one to be woven into the tapestry of nature instead of merely standing next to it." Estaban.

With inflation a 1963 version works out approximately £64 in today's money.AshbyCut wrote:I'm sooo jealous !!! Mine hasn't got that sticker !!!

I think you may find the word(s) is "pick-up", I could be wrong but look at the advertisement in the following post.
