Intrepids on You Tube

Post by Ajsrider »

Dear All I have just been notified via the Intrepid Reels Website that there are Videos of
Intrepid Reels on You Tube.
I have looked at the Monarch one and publisher is an Intrepid reel Collector who has some interesting facts and dates. The link is below

Some of you may have seen them already, but they were news to me.

Thanks for bringing that to our attention Keith, never reelised (sorry) that there were so many different intrepid reels!
I started my course fishing with a Black Prince and now have an Elite which turns out to be a reely (sorry again) nice reel. I also have a Monarch which impressed me with its elegant simplicity and although it pre dates the Black Prince, it is probably a better quality reel? I think I held the view that intrepid reels were all a little bit down market, but now consider them to be under rated. I have a Mitchell 300 which is without question very competently engineered and functions extremely well but does not have the charm and character of the Elite? In the light of my recent experience, I shall look upon intrepid reels in a different light.
"Oh for want of rod and line I'd fish this stream serene, sublime".
