Hi guys advice please I have purchased recently 2 Elite's one left hand retrieve and one right hand retrieve has anyone an opinion as to whether the reels are ambidextrous or were they manufactured to suit the preferred retrieve of choice cheers

They're supposed to be interchangeable. There should be a plastic cap on the opposite end of the central spindle from the handle which can be pulled off, the handle removed from the other end and changed about. Leastways that's what mine's like.

What is your favourite word?
I suspect it could be “love”, despite its drawbacks in the rhyming department.

That's how I recall them, the little plastic domed cap frequently gets lost too.....

Basically as said above...Just tried mine and it changes over fine, undue the screw that holds the handle on the shaft and fix on other side of reel. The little plastic cap just pulls off and covers the opposite side of shaft to handle. :Hat:

Morritt's did address the lost caps problem with their Symmetrical Elite but you don't see many of these about ...

It's better balanced like this Stingray, Sir. :Chuckle:

You're right about that - plus yours is doing the front crawl whereas mine is doing the slower butterfly stroke.

(PS. But my knobs match.)
