Rimfly versus J W Young

Well, I got my Gladding Rimfly (my first one!) and very interesting it is too.

There is one thing I think I can say for sure. This wasn't made by J W Young... at least I hope it wasn't!

The difference in quality of casting and finish between the Rimfly and my Beaudex or Condex is really remarkable. The Young's reels are in a totally different order of quality.

That said though the Rimfly looks like a perfectly serviceable little reel and I am going to enjoy cleaning it up and servicing it. It'll get used... probably on my c%&*^n rod!
