We decided not to attend this year due to weather forecast, the traffic build up that takes place just to get in the park and the entrance costs. So our next visit to "The Lakes " will be to attend the Vale of Rydal Sheep Dogs Trials and Hound show just outside Ambleside next Thursday which is a Mecca for hunting enthusiasts.

I gave up queuing to get into and out of an event after seeing Pink Floyd at Knebworth back in the 70's.. I feel well chilled out now.

Well we traveled up friday morning arriving at 12.00 to wait in the q to get to the antique Tent got near to the tent at 12.30.Then made a dash to get nearer to the tent to unload. But become stuck in the mud .got tractor driver to move nearer to unload , but could not get close. So jumped up into a sea of mud.Looked around, opened the van doors to unload but quickly shut them.Asked the tractor drive to get us on to the metal track way.And headed home. The show open Saturday morning and was closed to the public First thing Sunday morning. Show Cancelled Thats a first for me.

Hope you got your money back it is so disheartening when you have no real control over events. We have been meaning to do a couple of antiques/collectors fairs but something always seems to happen to go against us. The trouble is it all keeps mounting up.
