Dam 110N

Newly added to my small collection of the series is a Dam quick 110N. It sits nicely with the 550, 330's (2) and 220 reels I already had.

Does anyone know the retrieve rate for these and wether they make a good light spinning reel?

I will find out for you. Lovely reel, eh? Just got a mint one from a shop closing. It had been waiting in the basement for decades brand-new and unused even with a spare spool in small separate box.

I have to admit to being completely smitten with these reels. such a rugged feel yet so smooth in action. This one is a little short of being mint but at around 20 euro I couldn't resist!

Given a good cleanup from the old grease and an ultrasonic bath to the ball bearing and, I am sure, it will be back to business. A bit sad they used this cheap plastics for the spools. Having now two of those spools in brand-new is quite a find!

No news on the line retrieve yet but I think the 110 has a 1:4,6 so it should be over 5 with the 110N.
Regarding the abilities for a light to medium spinning reel: have a look at the rotor underneath the spool: you can even adjust the force of the bail arm trigger like the trigger adjustment on a rifle.

No need to strip for the adjustment. Just lift off the spool.
I was wrong with 1:4,6. I guess I will have to ask the German collector Sascha again.
By the way: did the letter turn up meanwhile?

I found the adjuster, marked H one side, M the other. Do these markings have a meaning?
