When it comes to Mordexes.....

Post by Stathamender »

....it seems that hope springs eternal in matters of pricing but reading skills are a bit iffy. See item 111542065836 on ebay.

What is your favourite word?
I suspect it could be “love”, despite its drawbacks in the rhyming department.

I'd be inclined to agree with you.......except that is the only Mordex box I have ever, ever seen!

That alone makes it rarer than a box of rare things and takes it into 'collector territory' Add on the fact that it almost Christmas and the seller might just pull it off........

It's also a decent early model...later ones had plastic ratchet bits that snapped........

Listed as "The Merlin" and Aerial style but is in fact "The Mentor" :Thumb:

Update : Listing now changed to Mentor and price reduced.

He's been trying to shift that for months. It's our old friend with the blue throw.

I like what you have done there :Ok:

Thank you, i do it with all the bad looking reels. like to refurbish and restore reels. not the rare one's or expensive reels with good patina, only the reels that no one want to have.
Polish, paint, and make some new decals and the reel does look like new.
