Hardy 'Wallis No.1' casting reel c1930-36?

Post by Watermole+ »

Dear All,

If any of you good people out there own an example of this reel, I would very much like to hear from you..

Essentially, I am seeking as many photographs, drawings and dimensions-particularly of the interior-as might be available.

Whilst I realize that it would not be likely to actually handle one, I would like as much information as possible about it..

Please get in touch at your convenience via. pm.

Very many thanks in advance,

wm+

Many, many thanks to all who replied..I have had some wonderful news regarding this..

Nobby, to be honest, that drawing looks a bit like the early "Perfect" fly reel..?

Thanking you again,

Good point Wm+! I think it is indeed that reel, but perhaps shares some patented parts?

Are you perhaps making a reel for someone based upon the 'Wallis"?
Looking forward to another of your great threads showing your skills.

Any progress on the reel you are making? Presumably a bigger and better Wallis No.1 with some of your refinements.

Many thanks for your kind enquiry Tomeland.
The answer is 'yes' on both counts but it will not happen yet awhile until other work has been completed..
..which may take some time..

With kind regards to all on this joyous Easter day!
