Re: Christmas present from Watermole.
Many thanks to everyone for the kind words, but I should point out that this was not a 'free' present, but in fact a requested reel and has been paid for in full..Many thanks John! This one carries Serial No.2 and is the first of the twelve to be made, No.1 being reserved.
Another point is that as I am not so good with leatherwork, all these Aerial-Match reels will be supplied with special, sheepskin-lined, soft blue leather draw cord pouches and are being especially made for me by no less a person than Andy Batchelor, whose work standards are above any criticism.
The only part I did was to polish the leather soft and make the little pips for the ends of the cord!
Thank you Andy for your excellent work-and to all for all your comments.
With best wishes,
wm+

I did not mean to cause any confusion and in particular embarrassment to Watermole, it was all meant tongue in cheek. The gem pictured was a pressie to me and paid for with good old sterling. I am still hoping for a set of guns and a dozen boxes of caps, fingers crossed.
If you have no grease with you, and your rings are full of ice, do not cut out the ice with a pen-knife but get your man to put the rings one by one in his mouth, and so to thaw the ice.

A beautiful reel John and having dabbled with the prototype I'm sure you will soon be besotted!

I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.
