"Rutilus, Rutilus.."

Post by Watermole+ »

...Not the fish, but a new reel; someone's Christmas present!

With kind permission, Paul F has allowed me to start a thread with pictures on a reel designed and named by himself, everything to his own specifications, specifically for the species.

It was originally promised to be completed before the end of the year but recent events suddenly made all that seem to be unlikely..
The components were mostly finished, except for filing, polishing and putting together, so I have been sitting indoors, quietly doing a little fiddling & fettling and Lo and behold! the job was done1

...However....It will not be posted off to him until tomorrow, 18th December and he has given me his word (haven't you Paul! :Chuckle: ) that the box will not be opened until Christmas morning, after which I will post some more photos.

..But then, I thought that there would be no harm in you all having a look first, is there...?

..Would you like to have a quick peek inside..?

Here you are then..

..More pictures in a week or so..

Send it to me and I will deliver it for you---------------honest.
