Strike Right Overhaul Progress

Post by JW1 »

My first centre pin refurb,I took this on as a bit of a learning curve and if nothing else I did learn plenty;

This is how it started

In the spray booth, AKA cardboard box

Voilla! (not happy with the colour, should be as the original)

The handles are still stuck, maybe a ultrasonic cleaner will do the trick, if only I had a sonic screwdriver.

Painting the back plate without removing the ratchet pin was challenging and baking the paint to get it hard enough to resist the pin scratching it are the challenges to resolve before embarking my Speedia.

Nice job, huge improvement from it's original state and there's nothing at all wrong with the colour in my book!

Wow, that is looking really good, the polished up metals really sets it off as well.

A super job, it looks great.

Thank you for your kind words gentlemen, I think I will need to do a few more before tackling the Speedia.
