I have a 300 and a 440a which seem really well made but this one looks cheap,maybe it is because it has a plastic cover on the body ?
I spend most of my life fishing the Rest i just waste

The plastic side cover does look a bit cheap, I suppose .... some similar reels had a thin metal cover that looks otherwise almost identical. No doubt they were a budget reel compared to some, but I suspect the similar in appearance 207 was a lot cheaper.
They turn over nicely, have a 'proper' bail arm and really they fish OK.
Put plenty of grease on the ' buzz-saw ' gear on the left hand side of the main gear and the anti-reverse will be almost silent. I seem to recall that the washer with the rectangular tab on it holds the bail arm spring in its place.....??? maybe......

I see the parts are all made the same in the 3 reels i have so maybe i shouldnt judge a book by its cover lol,was this one intended as a spinning reel?
