Superb Wal!
Can't quite decide if deciding that toggles are the answer shows madness or genius. Either way I have a coat with toggles in the garage that I will look at in a different light now!

I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.

Probably madness is nearer the mark Steve but I can always say they cost buttons to make. Anyone got a decent belt for my duffle coat please..LuckyLuca wrote:Superb Wal!

Bloody marvellous Wal, a first class job mate, it'll look even better beside a plump autumn perch.... it's that time of year .

From wreck to showcase job. Utterly superb. Heartwarming to see such a fine reel restored.

Very skillfully done Wal. Just shows you what can be done with a bit of ingenuity.
A good name for a reel resurrected from the dead would be the Lazarus.
How's you engraving skills.

Perhaps as the face was turned from Tufnol, a better name would be "Phil" ... as it's a traditional spinner !!!Pentonhook wrote:A good name for a reel resurrected from the dead would be the Lazarus

Re: Restoration project.
Nice one Mal, I was a bit stumped finding a name for it. I am sure I'll be bowled over with suggestions now though.
