This thread has been brilliant. I'm amazed when you say that your skills are self taught.

I have followed this with awe and quite a bit of envy at your skillful workmanship. Absolutely stunning. Please post a photo of it's first capture. May it bring the fish it deserves sir. :hat: :o

A really interesting read from start to finish.....amazing skills for a self taught engineer. You must, and should, be very proud of what you have made and may you enjoy using this reel for many years to come.

I can only echo what everyone else has said. It's truly beautiful to my eyes and it deserves to catch you the fish of a lifetime!

I probably wasn't paying sufficient attention, a lifelong trait for yours truly, but I'd imagined the reel to be bigger, to see it the same size as a Rapidex was a bit of a shock...and makes the quality of its manufacture all the more amazing!

I'd expected a button to operate the check, but much prefer your lever and cam arrangement. And the composite reel back is just lovely to behold.

Go on....tell me.....

Is there anything on there you didn't make yourself?
