Chubbs of Edgeware Pike rod

Nine feet long. It looks ok but will need new rings.

In case you weren't aware, the great pike angling historian Fred Buller used to own Chubbs.

Is it me or is that very similar to Ted Oliver’s silk and whipping style?

I am pretty sure that Ted Oliver supplied rods or blanks to several North London tackle shops. I have seen the distinctive ‘special’ sticker on a number of his rods!
