Does anyone in GB know Fritz Schreck? No, not Max Schreck who was the famous actor in "Nosferatu". Fritz Schreck lived near Zurich in Schlieren and was in beginning hair dresser who liked to go fishing. He made the rods by his self. Then he started with Casting sport and he was a good one. He experimented a lot and build better rods. With the time he was winning a lot of medails in Casting sport and so the interess for his rods was growing. He build also rods with very much splits, I think till 24 but I'm not sure. Rods for fly fishing, for spinning, for grayling fishing, I think for nearly everything. He had give up his job as hair dresser, his son was helping him and build the later rods, his wife was writing with ink the names on the Inlet rods. Later he (or maybe was it his son) changed to other material than cane.
Not long ago I was able to buy one of his cane rods with the kingfisher on it.
