It's New Year, and with that turn I've been evaluating fishing, fishers, and life in general.
I fell to thinking about a nice little 4 Weight brook rod that I lent to someone a few years ago. Having driven off with the rod he disappeared for ever. It was a Wallop Brook rod made, I think, in about 1975. So, not a super-rare rod. Maybe it was worth £200.
Now I come to think about the rod, and the mark of that angler, I reckon that's the best £200 I ever invested.

Re: My Best Rod Bargain, ever.
I have one of those that an old friend gave me. A fantastic rod. But I haven't seen the chappie since!
