It makes a very nice small river trotting rod, nice and light in the hand. Just have to find a small river local with some fish in. :holmes:
I visited a local river from my youth recently with a view to doing much the same sort of fishing,even though the size of fish has gone up the flow for trotting is pretty much non existant.

Just read somewhere that Don Neish (Dons of Edmonton) worked at J. Pales Fishing Tackle Specialists 20 Station Road, Wood Green, London N22. sometime in the mid 50,s

The gist of it is that Don Neish worked at J. Pales (Wood Green) around 1955-6 then set up Dons of Edmonton in Fore Street, Edmonton around 1957.
