Yet Another Anonymous Rod Thread...
A salmon rod, one that belonged to Harry Ellis, my grandfather, built as a fly rod but also has an inbuilt spinning rod due to a shorter stronger tip section and an extra handle.
I have been over every inch with the magnifying glass, but not a clue as to who built it - any ideas would be welcome - dated 1935/1939, I think.

Forgot to mention, I’ve just got it back from Stephen Woolley after a few week’s in intensive care. The workmanship is truly magnificent and my man cave has the lovely aroma of about four coats of varnish - I don’t want to put it back in the bag and I just sit there looking at it.
Stephen, many thanks,
Kind Regards

II can’t help you with identification but I can give you an excise to leave it out of the bag ....... so long as you can smell the varnish, it’s still curing!

...and don’t put it anywhere near extreme temperatures is my advice, as it finishes that curing process!
